About

The Official Voice of Arizona’s Horse Industry

The Arizona Horse Council Mission Statement:

To preserve, promote, and protect the Arizona equestrian lifestyle and industry.

The Arizona Horse Council is led by an all-volunteer, member-elected board that provides leadership, sets industry standards, and unifies the equine community and industry in Arizona. And while our mission statement is short and to the point, our dedication to protecting your trail access rights and Western heritage is unending and all-encompassing.

The Arizona Horse Council is one of the few states that has a registered lobbyist who reviews each piece of new legislation for its impact on equestrians and takes meetings with the House and Senate Natural Resources Committees to present the impact of the Horse Industry in Arizona, among other things. Check out our In Action section for more information.

The Arizona Horse Council produces a variety of equestrian-related, how-to brochures, and hosts a number of teaching programs and symposiums, like Sharing the Trails. In addition, we provide certified law enforcement training at no cost to law enforcement officers.

The Arizona Horse Council is Arizona’s Official Affiliate of the American Horse Council in Washington D.C.
